HikerKit Privacy Policy

Information You Provide

HikerKit lets you create and manage gear items, trip plans, and app preferences. This information is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export, share, or import data.

• Gear items, including name, category, brand, weight, quantity, price, notes, and optional photos
• Trip plans, including trip name, date, duration, notes, selected gear, packed status, and worn gear settings
• App preferences, including language, theme, and default weight unit

Photos and Camera

HikerKit may ask for access to your camera or photo library when you choose to add a photo to a gear item. It may also request permission to save exported chart images to your Photos library. The app does not access your photos unless you choose to use these features.

Data Export, Import, and Sharing

HikerKit provides user-controlled export and sharing features, including JSON, CSV, and chart image export. Exported files or images may contain gear, trip, price, weight, notes, and photo information you entered. You are responsible for choosing where to save or share exported content.

Purchases

HikerKit offers an optional in-app purchase, HikerKit Pro, through Apple. Pro unlocks unlimited trips. Purchases are processed by Apple, and HikerKit does not collect or store your payment card information.

Data Collection and Tracking

HikerKit does not sell your personal data, use third-party advertising, or perform cross-app tracking. HikerKit does not intentionally collect analytics data or transmit your gear and trip data to the developer.

Local Storage

Your app data is stored locally on your device using Apple platform storage technologies. If you delete the app or reset your app data, locally stored data may be deleted. If you manually export data, you are responsible for storing and protecting the exported files.

Children's Privacy

HikerKit is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.
